My first impulse would be to say “historic,” because for some reason it just sounds right.
I wasn’t sure, so I went to Grammar Girl and looked it up. It turns out that the word “historic” refers only to events (and perhaps places) of significance in history. As in “The signing of the Declaration of Independence was a historic event.”
So if you’ve listed a home once owned by Paul Revere, it could be historic. If you’re selling a home where some significant event in history took place, it would be historic.
Homes that are merely 100, 200, or 300 years old are historical.
